Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) has an opening for a **Space Systems Engineering & Integrations Center Director -1** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Redondo Beach, CA.**
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading and growing a dynamic 400-member organization to ensure excellence in program level system engineering across the division.
Overseeing 3 departments and multiple senior center staff with technical expertise in Space Vehicle Systems Engineering, Specialty Engineering, and SEIT leadership.
Managing and integrating SE recruiting, employee development, employee engagement, skills development, NCTA efforts, performance management, program staffing, process and product development, and participating in project and proposal reviews.
Influencing and building relationships with program leaders to lead Directorate-wide System Engineering strategic initiatives to enhance sector performance.
The Center Director is the process owner for the integrated Space Systems Engineering & Integration processes and is responsible for process refinement and implementation across the enterprise. You will have broad exposure to process areas across Strategic Space Systems Division.
**Basic Qualifications:**
Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
Minimum 10 years related program technical and leadership experience in Systems Engineering
Prior experience as a Manager or Team Lead
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance AND SCI clearance/access with a recent Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience in functional management
Master's degree in Engineering with emphasis in System Vehicles Systems Engineering, R&V or Specialty Discipline
Excellent written and verbal communication, plus strong leadership skills
Experience leading large teams
Salary Range: $198,200.00 - $297,200.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
