u003cbru003eu003cbu003eDescription:u003c/bu003eMissiles and Fire Control is in need of an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Engineer familar with Electric Motor Control Actuation Systems to provide support to the Lower Tier Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC) 3 Missile production related to Guidance and Control hardware procurement, integration and supporting PAC3 System production. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eThe Candidate will provide technical oversight and monitoring of a major subcontract and related sub tier subcontracts. This oversight will include completing technical evaluations of technical non-conformances and participating in failure investigations associated with the non-conformances at the vendor and evaluating Vendor engineering change proposals. The successful candidate should have a demonstrated knowledge and experience of providing electrical motor design support with knowledge of motor efficiency, torque speed characteristics, ball screw gear trains, DC motor controllers, and encoders. u003cbru003eu003cbru003eThe Candidate must be able to work in a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment and will be responsible for representing LM in several IPTs. Experience in risk management is desired. The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills. They should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with customers and contractors in a highly charged environment. Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance or be able to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
