This is a full time position located in sunny Palmdale, CA.nIf you are intrigued by this opportunity keep reading below.nEssential Functions:nRead and understand blueprintsnTranslate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies to include: precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated toolsnAligning parts on jigs using templates and fixturesnPerforming part-fitting operations: filing sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling and reamingnMeasures parts with precision tools such as, micrometers and calipers to verify dimensionsnMay modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedurenDaily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systemsnUse of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floornRecommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectivenessnBasic Qualifications:nMinimum of 2 yearsu2019 structures/sheet metal experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment.nMust be able to performu00a0moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overheadnMust be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environmentnThe ability to pass Special Medical/Respiratory Exam.nActive DoD Secret Clearance with a background investigation completed within the last five years with the ability to obtain and maintain program accessnThe ability to work 1st u201c5 AM u2013 3:30 PMu201d or 2nd shift u201c4:12 PM u2013 2:42 AMu201d and any work schedulenPreferred Qualifications:nExperience in aerospace manufacturingnCompletion of an A&P certificate programnEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
